Agreement
By using Callout AI or engaging our service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
The service
We set up and operate an AI phone receptionist for your business — answering calls, capturing leads, and (on eligible plans) booking appointments, configured to your specifications.
Billing
- Subscriptions are charged from the day you sign up. There is no setup fee on any plan.
- Each plan includes a monthly allowance of call minutes (Standard: 300 minutes, Pro: 1,000 minutes, Business: 2,000 minutes, Enterprise: from 3,000 minutes). Usage above the allowance is billed at £0.25 per minute. We will email you a warning when you reach 80% of your monthly allowance so you can decide whether to upgrade.
- Monthly fees are billed in advance. You can cancel future renewals at any time from the billing portal in your dashboard (or by emailing us) — there is no minimum term beyond the current billing month.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate business information so the receptionist represents you correctly.
- You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to your business, including any call-recording consent requirements in your area.
- Use the service only for lawful purposes.
Acceptable use & prohibited industries
Callout AI is an AI phone receptionist for appointment booking, lead capture, and general enquiry handling. It is not a clinical triage tool, a crisis line, a debt collection service, or a regulated financial communications platform.
You may not use Callout AI if your business operates in any of the following categories:
- NHS and publicly funded healthcare — including GP surgeries, NHS walk-in centres, and any practice operating under NHS contracts. NHS Information Governance and CQC requirements cannot be satisfied by this service.
- Pharmacies and dispensing services — callers routinely ask about medication, dosage, and interactions; the AI cannot safely handle these enquiries.
- Gambling operators — UKGC-licensed operators have specific duty-of-care obligations for callers who may be experiencing problem gambling.
- High-cost credit and payday lending — FCA Consumer Duty rules impose specific standards for how borrowers are contacted and assisted that this service cannot meet.
- Debt collection agencies — Ofcom and FCA rules govern how and when debtors may be contacted; automated inbound call handling carries compliance risk this service does not cover.
- Mental health crisis lines and emergency services — the AI is not trained or equipped to handle callers in acute psychological distress or medical emergency.
- Childcare, nurseries, and schools — calls about children carry Ofsted safeguarding requirements that this service does not satisfy.
If your business operates in a regulated sector not listed above (for example, private healthcare, legal services, financial advice, or veterinary practice), you may use Callout AI only for appointment booking and general enquiry handling. Your AI must not give clinical advice, legal advice, financial advice, or any other regulated professional guidance. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with the regulations that apply to your sector.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are operating in a prohibited category or are using the service in a manner that creates unacceptable regulatory, legal, or reputational risk.
No professional advice
The receptionist handles scheduling and general information. It does not provide professional, medical, legal, or financial advice, and it will not quote prices it hasn't been given.
Disclaimers & liability
The service is provided "as is." We work hard for high reliability but don't guarantee uninterrupted, error-free service. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the preceding three months.
Termination
Either party may end the engagement with reasonable notice. We may suspend service for non-payment or misuse.
When you cancel, your AI receptionist is paused immediately and stops answering calls. We retain your AI assistant and assigned phone number for 30 days after cancellation so you can reactivate without losing your setup. After 30 days, your AI assistant is permanently deleted and the phone number is released back to our pool and may be reassigned. If you need your data sooner, contact us.
Changes
We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
Refunds
Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
