Will my customers know it's an AI?
It uses a natural, clear AI voice and introduces itself as your virtual receptionist. Most callers can't tell — and the ones who can don't mind, because they got through immediately instead of hitting voicemail.
What's a warm transfer — how does it actually work?
When an emergency comes in, the AI doesn't just send an alert — it calls your mobile first. Before connecting the caller, it says something like: 'You have John on the line, he has no heating and smells gas at 14 Oak Street.' Then it connects you. You're fully briefed before you say hello. No other UK AI receptionist offers this.
What happens with a gas smell or flooding emergency?
Those keywords trigger the emergency protocol immediately. The AI reassures the caller, gathers their address and the fault description, then calls your mobile, briefs you, and connects the call live. On the Pro plan this happens automatically — no manual setup needed.
Can it actually book jobs, or just take messages?
It captures the booking on every call — the caller's preferred time and all the details are saved and emailed to you instantly so you can confirm, on every plan. Live Google Calendar booking during the call (where the caller picks a slot and it lands in your diary automatically) is a Pro feature coming soon — we're completing Google's security review.
Do I need a new phone number?
No. You keep your existing number and divert it to your dedicated AI line — takes about two minutes on any UK mobile. Your dashboard shows you the exact forwarding code to dial.
How long does setup take?
Minutes. You fill in a short form about your business and your AI is built and live on a real phone number straight away — no waiting, no setup call. Then you forward your number with one code and you're taking calls.
What if it can't answer a question?
It never guesses or makes up prices. If something's outside its scope, it takes a detailed message, sends it to you, and tells the caller you'll call back. Your reputation stays intact.
What does the AI sound like?
A natural, advanced UK-accent voice — warm and clearly British, not a robotic American assistant. Callers consistently can't tell it's AI. You choose the voice per line from your dashboard.
Does it recognise repeat callers?
Yes — caller memory recognises returning callers and recalls their past enquiries on every plan, so regulars don't have to repeat themselves. It's on by default and you can toggle it off per line.
Can I give the AI my own documents and FAQs to answer from?
Yes. On every plan you can paste in — or upload as a .txt file — your FAQs, prices, and policies, and the AI quotes them verbatim. You can also point it at your website URL to pull the text in. The Business plan adds a searchable AI knowledge base for longer documents (see the next question).
What's the difference between the AI knowledge base and the services and prices I enter at signup?
On every plan, the services, prices, and FAQs you enter at signup go straight into your AI's brain — it answers from them and quotes them directly. The Business plan adds the AI knowledge base on top: you give it longer documents and a website URL, and instead of holding everything in memory it searches for the exact relevant passage during the call (RAG). That keeps answers accurate even when there's a lot of detail — handy when you have pages of policies, products, or technical specs that wouldn't fit in a short list.
Do I get reporting on my calls?
Pro and above include an AI insights dashboard — it surfaces your common call themes, busiest times, and trends across the last 30 days, so you can see what callers actually want. Every plan still gets a structured summary of each individual call emailed to you.
Can it message customers on WhatsApp?
WhatsApp lead messaging is coming soon for Pro and above — it's built and pending Meta App Review. Until it's live, lead alerts and caller confirmations go by email.
How is this different from cheaper services like ARROW or ConnectCall?
Those services use generic voices and basic scripts — your callers can tell within five seconds it's not really an answering service. Callout AI runs ElevenLabs voice (the same voice tech Hollywood uses for dubbing), Deepgram speech recognition (the same engine NHS pilots use), and the latest OpenAI GPT reasoning. The result: a receptionist your callers genuinely can't tell apart from a human. On Pro we also call you first with a briefing (warm transfer) before connecting you — no other UK service does this. It costs more to run, so it costs more — but it books the jobs cheaper services miss.
Are there per-call charges?
Your monthly fee is flat for the included minutes — 300/month on Standard, 1,000/month on Pro, 2,000/month on Business, and 3,000+ on Enterprise. If your call volume grows above that, extra minutes are £0.25/min and you'll get an email warning at 80% of cap before any overage charge. No hidden per-call surprises, ever.
Why is your pricing higher than other AI receptionists?
Because we run the most expensive AI stack in the market — and pass on what real quality costs. ElevenLabs Turbo for voice, Deepgram for accent recognition, and the latest OpenAI GPT for understanding what your callers actually need. Cheaper services use synthetic robot voices and basic chatbots — they're cheaper because their tech is cheaper. We charge for the AI that books the most jobs, not the cheapest AI.
